When Jerry Christian called and asked if I would consider being nominated for President, I couldn’t believe they would even ask me.  This has been a good experience and I am so thankful for all the members of our club.  All the other officers have been so efficient and talented and all the members have helped make this a successful year.  The committees have accomplished beautiful community projects with everyone working together.  Our scholarships are helping young people that are interested in horticulture.

When attending the classes to become a Master Gardener, I realized the more you learn the more there is to learn.  The soil, plants, diseases, insects, trees, and the encouragement you receive when belonging to a gardening group.  I was concerned about “Community Service” but had 90 hours the first year.

One of the most memorable experience is when the club went to Jane Williams place to help with her pruning and weeding!  That was one of the first projects I helped with and everyone worked together and an experience I’ll never forget.

I’ve learned so much from each of the members and appreciate everyone sharing their knowledge and experiences with me.  Thank you for the honor of being part of this Officer Team and look forward to the projects and plans for the coming year.
